Religion + Bad Science + Global Warming = Oy Oy Oy

A person on stormtrack posted this article during a thread about global warming. While he stressed he wasn't into the religious stuff, he stated:
Again, no religious argument, just discuss how we had these previous weather changes if the world doesn't change climates over time by itself.

Ay. Here's the problem with the internets. Anyone can write an article and sound intelligent. Many of these articles cross-pollinate half truths, and down-right scientific errors/lies. People curious about what the cause of global warming is(and if you don't believe global warming is real, I'm calling you out as an idiot that can't read graphs), find these articles. Well guess what, they sound somewhat intelligent, so they must be true! We all do it... if I'm bored and see some article on DIGG about how there was some revolution in understanding how ants mate in colonies, I'm not going to think twice about whether there is some underlying errors in the paper.

Case in point from this site.

Biology professor: Hey, didn't they discover that process in corals?
Grad student: No, they discovered that in plants.
Biology professor: That's what I just said!
Grad student: But coral is not a plant.
Biology professor: What? Yes, it is!
Grad student: No, it's not, it's an animal!
Biology professor: Since when?
Grad student: Since always -- go look it up!
Biology professor, after disappearing for five minutes: ******** Wikipedia..
Who knows if this was a true conversation, but it certainly is plausible.
